One of the primary aims of SVIMS is to promote research in relevant, contemporary issues relating to business, industry, administration and leadership. Our decision to launch Dawn as a bi-annual journal of research is to encourage the culture of research among the academic community and to bridge the gap between researchers and industrial practitioners. Our focus will be on emerging trends in the global business scenario and to forecast how new theories and developments will affect industrial development.
Dawn does not intend to foster the outdated publish-or-perish culture. Our aim is to provide an outlet for the healthy exchange of fresh ideas and to promote the dissemination of new practices and thoughts at the forefront of business developments. It is our hope to publish articles, case studies and projects which will highlight Gen Next policies and applications that are of special relevance to India. In fact, a resurgent, emergent India will be the center of our attention though global trends will be featured in appropriate measure.
Our Founder's dream was the empowerment of women as a new force in a new world order. Diversity management and Equal Opportunities will therefore figure prominently in our publication. Ethics in business dealings is a sine qua non of our parent body, the SVM. The challenges of ethics will always be accorded prominence of position in this journal
